Privacy Policy — CipherBreaker: Pure Deduction
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application CipherBreaker: Pure Deduction (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles information. The App is developed and operated by an individual developer, Ozgur Cetintas (“the Developer”).
We have designed CipherBreaker to be privacy-respecting by default. The App has no servers of its own, no user accounts, and collects no personal information. Almost everything happens on your device. This policy describes the few exceptions — advertising and in-app purchases — which are handled by Apple and Google through their own systems.
Summary
- No account, no sign-up, no personal information (no name, email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or microphone access).
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier (IDFA) tracking. The App does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you across apps or websites.
- No servers operated by us. All your game data (progress, tokens, settings, purchase records) is stored only on your device.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob in non-personalized mode.
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
1. Information We Collect
We collect no personal information. The App does not require an account and does not ask you for any personal details.
When you first use the App, a random nickname (for example, an adjective-and-noun style handle) may be generated locally on your device for display purposes. This nickname is not based on any personal information, is not transmitted to us, and is stored only on your device.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The following information is stored locally on your device only (using your device’s standard app storage) and is never transmitted to us — we have no server to receive it:
- Game progress: level, experience, statistics, unlocked modes, tutorial and tooltip state.
- In-game token balance and economy state.
- App settings (such as sound and haptics preferences).
- Daily challenge progress.
- Current match state.
- A local record of your in-app purchases, consisting of Apple’s transaction identifiers, the purchased product identifier, the number of tokens granted, timestamps, and whether the purchase was made in Apple’s production or sandbox environment. These are opaque identifiers issued by Apple and contain no personal information.
Removing the App from your device deletes this locally stored information.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. Ads help support the App.
We serve non-personalized ads only. Every ad request the App makes is flagged as non-personalized. The App does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for tracking and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because we do not track you.
To serve ads and prevent fraud, Google may process limited information, including:
- Your device’s IP address (which Google may use for coarse location, fraud prevention, and limiting how often you see the same ad).
- Ad-related identifiers used for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- Information about your interaction with ads (for example, whether an ad was viewed).
The App does not send Google any identifier of its own about you. Google acts as an independent data controller for the information it processes through AdMob. Google’s handling of this information is governed by Google’s own privacy policy:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Consent in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland
If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App presents a consent message (using Google’s User Messaging Platform) before ads are loaded, in accordance with applicable data-protection laws. You can make your choices through that message. Even where you decline consent for personalized advertising, the App only ever serves non-personalized ads.
Apple SKAdNetwork
The App supports Apple’s SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving framework that measures advertising campaign performance in aggregate without tracking individual users. SKAdNetwork does not identify you and is not used to track you across apps.
4. In-App Purchases (Apple)
The App offers optional in-app purchases (token packs and a one-time “Remove Ads” purchase). All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple’s StoreKit system.
- We never see or store your payment information (such as card details). Apple handles all payment processing.
- The App stores a local record of completed purchases on your device (see Section 2), consisting of Apple’s transaction identifiers and the product purchased. This record exists so the App can deliver what you bought and let you restore non-consumable purchases. It never leaves your device.
- When restoring purchases, the App reads your entitlements directly from Apple’s StoreKit; this information is not sent to us.
Apple’s handling of your purchase and payment information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
5. Notifications
The App may ask for permission to send local notifications (reminders generated on your device). If you grant permission, any such notifications are generated locally on your device. The App does not use remote push notifications and does not register your device for a push token.
You can change notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is a puzzle game intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone and serves only non-personalized ads, it is designed to minimize data exposure for all users. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please note that the App has no mechanism to collect or store such information.
7. Data We Do Not Collect or Use
For clarity, the App does not:
- Require or offer user accounts or logins.
- Collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, camera, or microphone data.
- Use analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting services.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
- Use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking, or present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Operate any server that receives your data.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or hold any personal information about you, we have no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our side. Information stored locally on your device can be removed by deleting the App. For information processed by Google (advertising) or Apple (purchases), please refer to their respective privacy policies linked above and exercise your rights directly with them.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights regarding personal data. Where Google or Apple process data as described above, those companies are responsible as the relevant data controllers for that processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
